The US Soccer Federation are  reportedly planning on holding talks with Bayern Munich’s Pep Guardiola, with a view to hiring him to coach the US National team at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Guardiola’s contract expires with Bayern Munich in 2016 and it has been rumoured that the Catalan coach will look to join a Premier League outfit following his spell with the Bavarian team.
Manchester City are considered favourites for the Spanish coach’s signature after Txiki Begiristain and Ferran Soriano, who both worked with Guardiola at Barcelona, joined the English champions.
However, reports claim that the US Soccer Federation are looking to offer Guardiola a role as head coach of the US Men’s National Team for the World Cup due to be hosted in Qatar in 2022.
At present, the 43-year-old’s priority is to win a third Champions League title with his current club, Bayern Munich, but following the expiration of his current contract, insiders close to the Catalonian have confirmed that he prefers a move to the English Premier League.
