Isco: Ronaldo Deserves The Ballon D’Or
Real Madrid midfielder, Isco, believes that Cristiano Ronaldo should win the 2014 Ballon D’Or and Real Madrid are the best club in the world.
The Spaniard, who seems to have secured a place in Carlo Ancelotti’s starting XI, has voiced his opinions on the status of his club and its star player, Cristiano Ronaldo.
“I think that the best place to continue winning titles is at Real Madrid,” he said during an interview with Bwin.
“Personally, Ronaldo is the favourite (for the Ballon D’Or) after all that he has shown - the goals that he has scored, the titles that he has won with Real Madrid,” he added.
Isco continued to discuss his side’s current 11-match winning streak, as well as tonight’s match against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League.
“With the new signings already adapted to the team and the team’s commitment, our group are more and more united with each passing match. Hopefully this winning streak will last a lot longer," the 22-year-old said.
“Liverpool are a very good rival, historically speaking. We must not relax at any moment because with any counter-attack, with any piece of play, they are capable of hurting you.”
Real Madrid play host to Liverpool in the Champions League tonight. The match will begin at 21:45.
